Joining The Waynflete Singers

Total choir membership as at September 2006 was 123.
The distribution of voices was: 20 x Soprano 1; 22 x Sop 2; 26 x Alto 1; 14 x Alto 2;
9 x Tenor 1; 8 x Tenor 2; 13 x Bass 1; 11 x Bass 2
.

If you are interested in joining The Waynflete Singers, we are always keen to hear from you.
Applications are currently welcomed from all competent singers with sight-reading ability and in particular tenors and basses.
Admission is by brief audition with our Music Director Andrew Lumsden.  Applicants will be asked to bring a simple prepared piece of their own choice. In addition, you will be asked to sight-read a piece, have aural tests and usually also sing an extract of a well-known choral work.

Our rehearsal night is Thursday at Pilgrims' School Hall in Cathedral Close behind Winchester Cathedral.
