Waynflete Obit

Tuesday 11 August, Winchester Cathedral
Member of the choir will be singing at a special Evensong service to commemorate the life of William Waynflete, the 15th century Bishop of Winchester who gives the choir its name. The music for the service is from composers who are linked to the places were Bishop William lived his life -- Eton, Magdalen College Oxford and, of course, Winchester. Do come and join us in this annual event which concludes with a special hymn and prayers in the Retrochoir, next to the Chantry Chapel that houses the bishop’s tomb.
Note for choir members: a playlist with several of the Evensong items can be found here on YouTube
