WIlliam who?
On 11 August a group of Waynflete Singers sang at a special Evensong service in the Cathedral. This was the annual celebration of the life of William of Waynflete, the 15th century Bishop of Winchester after whom the choir is named.

The Waynflete Singers is one of England’s premier amateur choirs, performing regularly in Winchester Cathedral. The choir currently has about 120 singers. Carols in the Brooks

12 December 2009: A group of Waynflete Singers (and friends) sang to shoppers in the Brooks shopping centre, raising money for Leukaemia Research. This partnership has been a regular event for the last 10 years or so, raising several thousands of pounds for the charity.
